Welcome to the Eastcliff Residents’ Association website.
We are the ‘Voice of the Eastcliff’ for all who live and work in this part of Ramsgate, and our main aim is to enhance cultural and social opportunities for the people of this area.
The Eastcliff is rich in history and architecture, much of which is featured here. We focus on the area between the seafront and King Street, and from Harbour Street in the town centre to Thanet Road.

About the ERA
ERA’s work is solely undertaken by volunteers, to whom we are hugely grateful. We currently need additional members for the Executive Committee. If you are interested or woulld like to know what this entails please contact us. Contact details are on the contact us page.
Our Executive Committee oversees ERA and keeps the wheels turning on a monthly basis. We produce and distribute a quarterly newsletter, keeping residents up-to-date on local issues and developments.
Our sub-committees work together to represent the membership on specific issues. At present these are:
|
Eastcliff in Bloom. This sub-committee works with residents to make the Eastcliff a more beautiful place to live by ‘greening up’ the local streets and improving planting in our open spaces, where we have planted thousands of bulbs in the last few years.
Youth Focus Group. Volunteers work positively with local youngsters to increase activities available. At present an allotment scheme is in progress, along with creative arts activities.
ERA’s Youth Focus Group provides activities for young people on the Eastcliff, and has worked with local organisations such as the Thanet Coast Project, IOTA Arts, The Children’s Society and the local Police Force.
One of our first projects was a series of arts and crafts sessions , followed by one-off trips to undertake activities chosen by the children including ice-skating, football, paintballing, seal watching and a fun day on the beach.
Our energies are currently focussed on an allotment project at Cecilia Road allotments in Ramsgate. Around fifteen children aged 8-16 years are involved in growing leeks, rhubarb, broad beans, pumpkins, courgettes, aubergines and a variety of flowers. And we will be putting up a greenhouse in the near future.
If you are interested in getting involved, call Tonya Curry on 594675.
